- Summary: Max Eastley studied art and design at Middlesex Polytechnic and is an internationally recognised artist whose work combines kinetic sound sculpture and music. Installations include Sonic Boom at the Hayward Gallery (London), Sound as Media (Tokyo) and a permanent installation at Devil's Glen Sculpture Park (Ireland). Installations with performance have been presented at the ICA (London), Mensa Festival (Munich), Impakt Festival (Utrecht) and the Museum of Modern Art (Marseille). Eastley also works as an improvising musician and composer, and has released numerous albums in collaboration with other musicians such as Evan Parker and David Toop. Releases in 2001 were Time of Ancient Astronaut with Spaceheads (Andy Diagram and Richard Harrison), Day for Night with Peter Cusack, and two compilation albums, one for the Radical Fashion exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum, the other released by Leonardo Magazine (MIT, USA). He first collaborated with Siobhan Davies Dance on Plants and Ghosts.
