- Summary: A collaboration with Artangel, The Royal Ballet and dancers from her own Company, 13 Different Keys was made as a site specific work for the Atlantis Gallery in Brick Lane, London. The work was set on three dance platforms; a main one stretching diagonally across the space between the building's pillars and two shorter platforms, set slightly away from the main one, which the dancers criss-cross. The audience viewed the work both in close proximity to the dancing and further away. It was filmed and televised by Channel 4 in 1999. A unique project that illuminated the common ground between contemporary and classical dance styles.

- Analysis: ‘…when you see a single dancer straddle the trench, you see the physical manifestation of a body inhabiting two spaces, but also caught between them. Yet the transition here is as smooth and focused as everything else in the show: an emblem of both its strength and its weakness’ (Sophie Constanti, The Evening Standard, July 16 1999).
‘Deborah Bull has never looked more profoundly at ease with her own dancing and the two other Royal members were equally a revelation – Jenny Tattersall’s airy capriciousness, Peter Abegglen’s slow burning power. But they were easily matched by Davies’s own dancers – Matthew Morris with his amazingly sly supple line and Gill Clarke whose dark thrumming energy reached a shattering intensity in her central solo. If one began to move around the gallery, however, as I and a few others did, the piece came into a totally different focus, and vistas opened up that were all the more pleasing for being accidental. Manoeuvring my way to the bottom of the cross, it suddenly looked like a long avenue down which four dancers were leaping at a furious pace towards me. Emerging out of a dense group I saw Clarke and Bull being blown in a tumbling duet across my line of vision. As I move around I invented my own structure for the piece, which I assume was the point’ (Judith Mackrell, The Guardian, July 17 1999).
